Philippines eSIM not connecting: the checks, in order
- Line on
- Mobile data on the eSIM
- Pick the network by hand

The short answer
Check five things in order: the eSIM line is on, it is chosen for mobile data, airplane mode has been switched off and on, data roaming is on for the eSIM line, and a network picked by hand connects. If it still fails, write to the store's support while you are in the Philippines.

The checks
Start where the line status is: the eSIM line must be switched on. Second, it is chosen for mobile data. Third, airplane mode goes on for ten seconds and off again, or the phone restarts. Fourth, data roaming goes on for the eSIM line: the store asks for it when a line will not connect.
Pick the network by hand
Inside the eSIM line’s settings, switch off automatic network selection, then pick the network your plan names from the list. Wait a minute. If no connection comes, try each of the other listed networks in turn.
Where you are
Coverage differs from island to island and inside buildings. If you are on a boat, in a remote cove or deep inside a building, move to open ground or wait until you reach a town, then run the checks again.
When the data runs out
Where data worked and then quit, see whether the plan’s days or data are spent. Past that point, mobile data can be slowed or stopped by the network.
Write to support
If nothing works, write to the store’s support at contact@vietsim.com while you are still in the Philippines, with the link to your order page, your phone model and screenshots of the mobile data settings. Do not delete the eSIM while you wait. Where no fix makes it work, a full refund follows: see refunds.
Questions
Why is my eSIM not working in the Philippines?
Work through the checks on this page in order: the line is on, it is chosen for mobile data, airplane mode has been toggled, data roaming is on for it if it will not connect, and a network picked by hand connects. If nothing works, write to the store's support while you are still in the Philippines.
What can I do when data keeps running on my home SIM?
The eSIM line should carry mobile data, with line-switching turned off, so nothing falls back to your home line.
I removed the eSIM by accident. What now?
Get in touch with the store's support first, order page link included: a QR code usually installs once only.
