Install your Philippines eSIM at home, before you fly
- At home, on Wi-Fi
- Within 30 days
- Keep the line off

The short answer
Install the eSIM at home on Wi-Fi, before you fly, within 30 days of buying it. Scan the QR code from the page you saved after payment, name the line, and keep it switched off until you land. Do not delete the eSIM once added: a QR code can usually be installed only once.

Before you scan
The phone has to take an eSIM and stay unlocked; the phone check shows how to find out. Join a Wi-Fi network first: the eSIM comes down from the internet as it installs.
Scan the QR code
Once payment goes through, the QR code is on screen, and the page showing it keeps your code, so save that link. Bring the page up on a second screen, or print it out. The iPhone path runs through Settings, Cellular (or Mobile Service) and Add eSIM, where the scan happens. Android keeps it under the SIM settings (Connections, SIM manager on Samsung; Network & internet, SIMs on Pixel), where an eSIM gets added. When the camera refuses to scan, key the details in by hand from that same page.
After it is added
Give the line a name you will recognise, such as Philippines. Keep the line off until you land, so nothing runs ahead of the trip. Leave it in place: a QR code normally covers one install, no more. On landing, follow switch it on after landing.
If it fails (Install the eSIM)
When the scan fails or the install stalls, keep Wi-Fi on and give it one more try. If that does not do it, write to the store’s support at contact@vietsim.com, with your order page link and your phone model, before another attempt.
